My name is Kelsey Klemme and I am a UX designer and writer based in Los Angeles. I have worked as a UX designer in the start-up space with companies such as The Tracking Board (professional film industry website), Venn (dating app), ROLR (entertainment app) and Links.ee (professional bookmarking site).
My approach to user experience is to constantly advocate for the user’s needs. I received my bachelor's in Communication Studies and Political Science from The University of Iowa where I learned about human behavior and what drives people. My fascination with human behavior led me to formalizing my interest in user experience at General Assembly in Los Angeles. I completed their User Experience Design intensive where I learned the tools and process behind making great products. Combining those two educational experiences has allowed me to listen to and understand people to deliver them phenomenal experiences.
While user flows and journeys are very important to me, I also believe that copy and content are equally a part of the user experience and relationship someone has with a brand. I currently write for Santa Monica based start-up Fanbread where I pitch and write content for specific influencer target markets. My clients include Ashley Benson, Nene Leakes, Raven-Symone, JWOWW, Snooki, Christina Milian, and Wayne Goss. I also write women's interest articles for Women.com. My storytelling ability was honed in large part from working in the entertainment industry as well on shows such as Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, The Voice, DSM Living, and World's Funniest Fails.
